The research work of the lab will be carried out not only by the client internal research staff but also by their academic research partners in universities across Europe. The lab will provide an open research environment where academics will be encouraged to visit and work on fundamental long-term research in an environment that, like the best universities and research institutes, is open and conducive to such world-leading scientific work.

Requirements

• PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• Specialization in Machine Learning and background in Computer Architecture is a must.
• Proven track record of publishing research papers in prestigious conferences or high-impact journals in the intersection of machine learning and networking systems, high-performance computing, or computer architecture.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Research experience and/or strong knowledge in several of the following areas:
• Machine learning model for workload characterization
• Distributed machine learning, DNN, and LLM
• Memory sub-system arrangement
• Network architecture and networking systems in datacenter servers
• High-performance computing system architecture
• Excellent intercultural communication, coordination, presentation, and reporting skills, with the ability to work effectively in a research environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative spirit and the ability to work independently.
• Creativity and the ability to think outside the box to develop innovative solutions..

Responsibilities:

• Conduct innovative research in applying machine learning to enhance networking systems and protocols between computing devices (e.g., CPU, GPU), memory, and peripherals.
• Design, develop, and evaluate machine learning algorithms to manage system resources and optimize network performance, latency, and power.
• Innovate and develop new technologies in the field of machine learning for networking systems.
• Produce and present research papers at top-tier conferences, and write white papers on current developments and future research directions.
• Establish and maintain research partnerships with leading universities and professors specializing in networking systems, computer architecture, and high-performance computing.
• Mentor and guide junior researchers and interns.
