About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Operational Risk Analyst to join the Risk and Credit Group in the Jersey City office. This role will report directly to the Head of Operational Risk Management and will play a key part in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks across the organization. It’s an exciting opportunity to work closely with C-level stakeholders and influence enterprise-level risk strategy.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of operational risk frameworks, controls, and policies.
- Conduct daily and long-term risk exposure analysis, including incident reporting and trend identification.
- Use internal tools and third-party platforms to generate reports and dashboards for executive leadership.
- Collaborate with business partners across multiple departments to identify and resolve risk issues.
- Prepare and present reports to Operational Risk Committees and senior executives.
- Drive process improvements and participate in cross-functional risk initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between Operational Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Technology teams.
- Document internal control reviews and help evaluate remediation actions.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years in Risk & Credit, ideally within a financial institution.
- 2–3 years of experience specifically in Operational or Enterprise Risk; Big 4 experience a plus.
- Series 7 license preferred.
- Excellent command of MS Office tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of FINRA regulations, compliance practices, and investment products.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
