Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop new trading opportunities in global markets, leveraging the company’s product portfolio.
- Build and expand a strong trading book by connecting buyers and sellers, developing long-term partnerships.
- Explore and establish a customer base in emerging regions, enhancing the company’s market presence.
- Secure long-term contracts and facilitate access to trade finance solutions.
- Implement risk management strategies, including hedging tools, to optimize profitability and mitigate risks.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and financial institutions.
- Provide market insights and regular reports on trading activities to the leadership team.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align trading activities with the company’s strategic goals.
Requirements- Degree in Business, Chemistry, or related fields; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in trading hydrocarbons, polymers, rubbers, or other chemical products.
- In-depth knowledge of trade finance instruments and risk management tools (e.g., L/Cs, factoring, hedging).
- Established network of clients and suppliers in relevant industries.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with a focus on long-term partnerships.
- Ability to explore and develop new markets and regions independently.
- Fluency in English; additional regional languages are a plus.
- High resilience to pressure and a results-driven mindset.
