Lead PHP developer

CIS | Full-time | Remote

We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join our hiring partner growing team. The company’s projects include B2C and B2B e-commerce platforms, brand showcase websites, as well as internally developed CMS and CRM systems for content management, cataloging, sales, and marketing.

You will play a key role in defining architectural solutions, setting technical direction, and mentoring engineers. The team consists of strong Senior and Middle-level developers, and this role is critical for elevating technical expertise across the organization.

• Key Responsibilities
• Define technical specifications and project architecture.
• Establish and enforce technical standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Oversee software quality, code reviews, and system modifications.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide guidance to developers.
• Mentor and onboard team members, driving knowledge-sharing and skill development.
• Analyze existing systems to identify risks, redundancies, and areas for improvement.
• Conduct technical assessments and propose scalable solutions.
• Ensure effective CI/CD practices, logging, and monitoring of complex systems.

• Requirements
• 5+ years of professional PHP development experience.
• Strong expertise with Laravel 8+.
• Proficiency in Vue.js and JavaScript development.
• 2+ years of experience as a Technical Lead or Team Lead.
• Solid knowledge of PHP 8.0+.

Experience with:

• ElasticSearch
• PostgreSQL
• Redis
• MySQL 8.0 (SQL, DB engines, indexing, query optimization)

• Confident in JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding and practical application of KISS and YAGNI principles.
• Ability to configure NGINX.
• Experience setting up logging and monitoring for complex systems.

Nice to Have

• Experience working on large-scale and complex projects.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL optimization and complex queries.
• Exposure to additional languages such as Java, C#, or Node.js.
• Experience with RabbitMQ and distributed systems.
• Writing unit tests and ensuring test coverage.
