Infrastructure Lead

We are on the lookout for an experienced Infrastructure Lead for our hiring partner – a growing international fin-tech company specializing on creating niche software for large international banks and investment funds.

The ideal candidate has experience in IT management for global financial companies and deep expertise in large-scale corporate infrastructure operations.

Requirements
  • Master`s degree in a Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics etc.;
  • Strong leadership and team management skills;
  • 15+ years' in-depth knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization;
  • 10+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure management, incident management, or a related field;
  • 7+ years’ experience with ITIL or Service Management best practices;
  • Experience in fintech field is required;
  • Deep understanding of cloud operations;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Project management experience and relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) preferred;
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making abilities, critical-thinking skills and ability to determine root cause;
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance standards;
  • Ability to choose the best and most profitable technical solutions for the company;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure of the company;
  • Infrastructure budgeting and cost optimization; 
  • Managing projects, schedules, resources, and vendors, as well as ensuring compliance with standards, policies, and regulations;
  • Incident and problem management; 
  • Supervising and mentoring the IT infrastructure team up to 40 specialists, who may have different areas of expertise, such as servers, storage, network, security, cloud, virtualization etc.;
  • Acting as a liaison between the IT infrastructure team and other IT teams, such as development, operations, or support, as well as the business stakeholders and customers.
