Our partner is a newly established real estate development company based in Cyprus, backed by the owner of a large international business with a strong global track record. The company focuses on creating premium residential and mixed-use projects, combining high-quality construction with modern design and strategic locations along the island’s coastline.
The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the company’s full accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local and international regulations, and effective financial controls. This role acts as a key partner to Finance leadership, supporting strategic decision-making and maintaining the integrity of financial information.

- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (IFRS/GAAP as applicable)
- Manage statutory reporting and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, and other filings
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll accounting, and fixed assets
- Establish and monitor internal controls and accounting policies
- Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization of accounting procedures
- Support CFO/Finance Director with financial analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with other departments on accounting-related matters
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (ACCA / ACA / CPA or equivalent) preferred
- 7–10+ years of accounting experience, including leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting
- Experience in international or multi-entity environments is an advantage
- Advanced Excel and ERP systems knowledge
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
