Our partner is an investment platform of the international financial group, providing clients worldwide with access to over 1 million financial instruments. They are actively expanding across Europe and growing our team in Cyprus.
As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for an Account Opening Project Specialist who will be fully responsible for the account opening processes with banks and brokers and who has a strong understanding of how a licensed investment firm operates.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the full cycle of opening accounts with banks and brokerage institutions.
- Create and maintain project schedules related to account openings and other departmental initiatives.
- Coordinate with various internal teams (Compliance, Legal, Finance, Operations) to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Prepare and maintain all required project documentation.
- Assist in developing and implementing new tools and processes to improve overall efficiency.
- Communicate with external partners and internal stakeholders throughout the process.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Head of Department.
Your Profile:- At least 3 years of experience in a financial company as a Payment Specialist, Settlement Specialist, or in another role related to banking account operations.
- Strong understanding of the procedures and operational aspects of opening and managing bank and brokerage accounts.
- Knowledge of KYC/AML processes and regulatory requirements, as well as experience working with compliance teams.
- Experience interacting with European and international banks/brokers.
- High level of organization and the ability to manage projects from start to finish.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate work between multiple departments.
- Strong attention to detail and a high sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
- English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
- Familiarity with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Asana or similar) is an advantage.
- Experience working in licensed investment firms regulated by CySEC, FCA, or MiFID II is a plus.
