Chicago, IL | Full-time | OfficeWe are seeking a highly skilled Vice President, Market Risk Analytics Manager to join a top-tier investment firm in Chicago. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing risk analytics across multiple asset classes including futures, options on futures, FX, power products, and fixed income.
This leadership position involves managing a risk team, building and optimizing monitoring tools, and ensuring effective market risk oversight. Ideal for professionals who combine analytical depth with practical trading and systems knowledge.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor client trading across a wide range of asset classes and produce risk monitoring reports
- Build and maintain SQL queries and relational databases to automate and optimize reporting
- Manage a team issuing intraday/overnight calls and monitoring risk limit breaches
- Lead calibration of risk systems and reporting packages
- Oversee and manage stress testing frameworks and 1.73 liquidation reports
- Evaluate client positions and stress test results to detect and mitigate market risk
- Approve outgoing wire and ACH payments as backup authority
- Manage reporting related to Exchange Default Management Systems
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance risk policies, controls, and standards
- Execute other duties as required in a dynamic risk and credit environment
Ideal Candidate Profile- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- At least 5+ years of experience in futures, FX, and fixed income markets
- Strong understanding of power/energy futures and exchange protocols (CME, ICE, Nodal, etc.)
- Familiarity with options strategies, margin setting, and Globex credit limits
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with Tableau or similar tools
- Background in building and maintaining risk control frameworks
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage time-sensitive deliverables effectively
- Experience developing and maintaining risk policies and escalation protocols
