Senior Data Scientist

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to design, develop, and deploy advanced Machine Learning models with a strong focus on Risk and Fraud detection. This role requires both strong technical depth and the ability to partner with cross-functional teams to drive measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Model Development & Deployment: Build, implement, and scale machine learning models to detect and prevent fraud, protecting both the company and its customers.
• Technical Leadership: Lead initiatives in the Risk & Fraud space, setting technical direction and influencing team strategy.
• Data Analysis & Manipulation: Leverage SQL and Python to transform and prepare large-scale datasets for analysis and modeling.
• Production-Grade Coding: Deliver high-quality, production-ready ML solutions.
• Experimentation & Validation: Design experiments, apply statistical methods, and evaluate model performance to ensure accuracy and scalability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to respond quickly to emerging fraud patterns and evolving risks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning Engineering
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Proven experience building and deploying end-to-end ML models into production
• Solid foundation in statistics and experimental design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to distill insights from complex data
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred (not required):

• Background in financial services, payments, lending, or risk/fraud systems
• Degree from a top-tier Computer Science, Data Science, or related program
• Experience mentoring or providing technical direction
