Our hiring partner, a recognized leader in advanced technology solutions, is seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled engineer with a strong background in data architecture, cloud platforms, and scalable data pipeline development. You will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end cloud data solutions, driving innovation, and ensuring best practices in data engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Architect and implement end-to-end cloud data solutions, including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time analytics platforms.
- Design, build, and troubleshoot data acquisition pipelines from databases, flat-files, and REST APIs.
- Apply medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) for scalable, secure solutions.
- Design star schema dimensional models and implement semantic models optimized for Power BI analytics.
- Configure incremental refresh and partitioning strategies to optimize performance.
- Apply and promote best practices in governance, scalability, and deployment standards.
- Implement RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) with a zero-trust security approach.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, query performance issues, and semantic model errors using monitoring tools and optimization techniques.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and mapping documents.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements- 5+ years’ experience in data engineering, databases, or software development.
- 3+ years’ experience with Python and/or SQL for data engineering.
- Proven expertise with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Strong experience with dimensional modeling, SCDs, and medallion architecture.
- Solid problem-solving skills including troubleshooting performance issues and optimizing queries.
- Track record of delivering complex ELT/ETL projects in agile environments.
- Ability to create prototypes to meet evolving business needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
