Legal Technology Training Specialist

We are seeking a Legal Technology Training Specialist to join a leading law firm’s IT team in Hackensack, NJ. This role is ideal for someone passionate about training, eLearning development, and driving technology adoption within a professional services environment.
In this hybrid position, you will collaborate with attorneys and staff to help them effectively use the firm’s legal technologies and productivity tools. You will assist in designing, delivering, and maintaining technology training programs, both in-person and online, ensuring employees have the resources they need to perform efficiently.

This is a unique opportunity for a tech-savvy professional who enjoys teaching, creating engaging learning content, and enhancing user experience with legal technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and delivery of skills-based technology training for attorneys and staff.
  • Expand and maintain the firm’s eLearning library by creating engaging instructional materials, tutorials, and guides.
  • Assist with onboarding training programs for new employees and ongoing learning initiatives for current staff.
  • Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, communications, and reporting.
  • Support user adoption strategies for new software rollouts and technology upgrades.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching or small group sessions to enhance productivity and technology confidence.
  • Collaborate with the IT and HR departments to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all training activities and materials.
  • Occasionally travel to other firm offices to deliver on-site training.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a training, technology support, or instructional design role, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills — able to simplify complex topics for non-technical users.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to learn and teach new software applications quickly.
  • Experience creating eLearning content (using tools like Articulate, Captivate, or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in legal studies, information technology, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to other firm offices.
