L2 Support Engineer

We are seeking a L2 Support Engineer with a strong background in systems administration and technical support for trading infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with liquidity hubs (OneZero, PrimeXM, Centroid, FXCubic, etc.), strong troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring platform stability and performance.

This is a night-shift position, requiring consistent coverage of trading operations and real-time technical issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and configure liquidity hubs (OneZero, PrimeXM, Centroid, FXCubic, etc.) to ensure continuous uptime and performance.
  • Manage client onboarding processes, including setup via FIX, MT4/MT5, and give-up (dropcopy) connectors.
  • Monitor client operations, route profiles, and configure risk parameters.
  • Handle setup, recovery, and escalation procedures during incidents.
  • Perform account reconciliation between coverage and margin accounts.
  • Resolve compensation cases and support emergency troubleshooting.
  • Communicate directly with clients, internal teams, and back-office specialists to provide technical assistance.
  • Generate and maintain operational reports (volume, reconciliation, custom).
  • Provide real-time monitoring and incident management during night hours.

Requirements
Must Have:
  • 2+ years of experience as a System Administrator or L2 Support Engineer.
  • Proven experience administering and troubleshooting:
  1. FIX, MT4/MT5, and give-up (dropcopy) connectors.
  2. Network-level issues (TCP/IP, traceroute, telnet).
  • Solid understanding of FIX protocol and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience handling compensation cases and emergency escalation procedures.
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts (17:00–05:00 GMT).

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with monitoring systems (e.g., Zabbix).
  • Familiarity with REST API, RabbitMQ, and related troubleshooting.
  • Basic knowledge of MySQL for report generation and reconciliation tasks.
  • Experience performing API conformance testing (Maker/Taker for OZ, PrimeXM).
  • Previous use of Jira, Confluence, and Slack in a support environment.
