We are seeking a Head of Custody to lead and manage our securities custody operations. You will oversee the full lifecycle of custody services, including safekeeping, corporate actions, tax withholding, cross-market settlements, and regulatory compliance.
This is a high-impact leadership role, requiring deep operational expertise and the ability to drive process improvements, risk controls, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee custody operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory adherence.
- Lead the corporate actions process (dividends, M&A events, proxy voting, conversions, etc.).
- Manage cross-border settlements, including DVP, RVP, and securities transfers.
- Oversee QI/tax withholding functions and USWT reporting processes.
- Implement SWIFT messaging workflows and SRD2 voting processes.
- Ensure client asset segregation and operational sanctions compliance.
- Lead custody operations team, manage process enhancements, and support regulatory audits.
- Act as a key liaison with internal teams, clients, and counterparties.
Profile:- 5+ years of leadership experience in custody operations within brokerage, bank, or depository environments.
- Proven expertise in corporate actions, settlements, and cross-border custody across EU, UK, US, APAC markets.
- Hands-on knowledge of QI tax withholding, USWT reporting, and CSD segregation rules.
- Experience in SWIFT, SRD2 workflows, and settlement system automation.
- Strong team leadership, risk control awareness, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English and Russian; other European languages would be an advantage.
