Senior FullStack Engineer (Web/React Native)
Europe | Remote | Full-time
Description
We are looking for a Senior FullStack Engineer (Web/React Native) for one of the world's best AI-powered speaking coach that helps users improve their English through real conversations.
- Lead the frontend development of the application (90% hands-on coding, 10% code reviews, architecture, technical decisions, testing, QA, and deployments).
- Deliver end-to-end features for web and mobile applications, with occasional backend development.
- Develop using the frontend stack: React, React Native, Expo, Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase, React Query, Tailwind (NativeWind), React Native Reanimated, Skia.
- Contribute to the backend using Node.js, NestJS, Drizzle ORM, Supabase, FFmpeg, API design, database management, migrations, and third-party integrations.
- Integrate ML models (audio/text processing) into production workflows via REST APIs.
- Build scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications.
- Participate in infrastructure and deployment activities using Docker and AWS, Vercel, or Cloudflare.
- Maintain high engineering standards through CI/CD, testing, code reviews, documentation, logging, OpenAPI, Sentry, and other modern development practices.
Must-Have Skills
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Strong frontend expertise with React, React Native, Next.js, TypeScript, Expo.
- Experience with Node.js and NestJS.
- Experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
- Experience with Supabase, databases, and migrations.
- Familiarity with Zod, React Query, and Tailwind (NativeWind).
- Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, Vercel, or Cloudflare).
- Ability to own features end-to-end and work independently.
- Strong coding skills with a focus on writing clean, maintainable code.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and ship features quickly.
- Experience at Big Tech, VC-backed startups, or Yandex.
- Founder experience (even if the startup was unsuccessful).
- Portfolio of production applications (links to web apps, App Store, GitHub, etc.).
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex topics clearly.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with ML or AI-powered products.
- Low-level audio processing experience.
- Swift development experience.
- Experience with CallKit.
- Participation in Kaggle, Codeforces, programming competitions, or Olympiads.
- Open-source contributions (GitHub repositories with 10+ stars and/or 500+ contributions per year).
- Active technical blog, Twitter/X, or Telegram channel.
- Hands-on UI/UX design experience and strong product taste.
- Authentic recommendations from former colleagues, CEOs, or CTOs.
- High-speed execution: the only rule is to ship valuable features to production frequently and consistently.
- Work directly with the CEO and CTO on a daily basis.
- We expect a high degree of ownership—you'll be responsible for your projects end-to-end.
