QA of Robotic Stations
Cyprus | Hybrid | Full-time
Description
Join a fast-growing robotics company and work on quality assurance for robotic stations combining software, firmware, electronics, and mechanical components. This role is ideal for a hands-on QA Engineer who is comfortable working with both software and physical hardware, including measurement instruments, sensors, and robotic systems. The position has a stronger focus on software testing while still requiring solid practical experience with hardware and robotics.
- Participate in and support the implementation of robotic products and services
- Perform end-to-end testing of robotic stations covering mechanics, electronics, firmware and software integration
- Investigate and analyze issues in detail and work with development teams to identify root causes
- Create and maintain test documentation, test plans, test cases and checklists
- Test motion control, positioning accuracy and repeatability of robotic mechanisms
- Test sensors and actuators including servo and stepper motors, encoders, limit switches and proximity or optical sensors
- Verify communication interfaces and protocols including CAN, RS-485, Modbus, Ethernet/IP and MQTT
- Test emergency stop functionality, fail-safe behavior and safety interlocks
- Verify and validate calibration procedures
- Perform functional and non-functional testing across software and hardware components
- Use measurement instruments and hands-on testing approaches to diagnose and validate system behavior
- Support test coverage improvement, automation efficiency and reduction of bug resolution time
- 2+ years of experience in QA
- Strong experience in writing test documentation and analyzing development documentation
- Experience testing robotics, mechatronics or industrial automation equipment
- Hands-on experience with hardware testing and building or working with test stands
- Practical experience using measurement instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and spectrometers
- Understanding of robotic system components including drives, PLC controllers, sensors and basic kinematics
- Experience creating and managing test plans, test cases, checklists and test coverage analysis
- Experience with functional and non-functional testing
- Comfortable working with UNIX-like operating systems, preferably Ubuntu
- Experience with bug tracking and project management systems such as Jira
- Ability to combine software testing with hands-on work on physical systems
- Mandatory relocation to Cyprus
- Initial accommodation provided for two weeks to support relocation
