Marketing Manager/ Head (Basic Polymers)

Description
Our hiring partner, is an international petrochemical trading company based in Dubai. Our client is seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager and Head of Marketing to join their Dubai office and focus exclusively on basic polymers, mainly polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP).

Analytical Support
- Develop and update Customer Value Propositions (CVP) for basic polymer grades
- Lead product positioning and segmentation based on premiumization, profitability, and growth potential
- Monitor market dynamics: supply–demand, trade flows, price trends, and competitor activity
- Translate insights into product strategies: grade mix, new applications, regional prioritization
- Prepare marketing materials and presentations for sales teams and management
Pricing & Commercial Execution
- Lead pricing committees — develop benchmarks, validate formula-based contracts, manage spot price lists
- Drive commercial discussions with clients, distributors, and traders (pricing, stock, con-tracts)
- Participate in negotiations and support deal structuring
- Calculate and validate formula-based pricing (ICIS, Platts benchmarks)
Client & Market Development
- Segment clients by profitability, cost-to-serve, and growth potential
- Analyze performance of top converters, distributors, and off-takers
- Forecast growth across countries and end-industries
- Manage pipeline and track development targets
- Analyze distributor reports and optimize channel strategy
Analytical Support
- Build and maintain supply–demand balances for basic polymers
- Prepare data-driven materials for commercial reviews
- Monitor competitor capacities and trade flows
- Proven experience in petrochemicals with a strong focus on Basic Polymers (PE, PP) or other petrochemicals
- Background in Product Marketing within B2B chemicals
- Fluent English — written and spoken (mandatory)
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent client-facing and negotiation skills
- Currently based in Dubai / UAE
- Experience with Middle Eastern, African, or Asian markets
- Formula-based pricing expertise
- Existing network in polymer trading / distribution
- Key regional role in Dubai — global trading hub
