We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive User Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing technical support for desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess excellent troubleshooting skills, a strong understanding of hardware and software, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems and software for optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, in-person, and remote desktop applications.
User Management:
  • Set up and maintain user accounts, security permissions, and system access.
  • Monitor system performance and enforce security protocols to ensure data protection.
Collaboration & Documentation:
  • Collaborate with IT staff to diagnose and solve complex technical problems.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventories.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a user support or similar technical support role.
  • Strong working knowledge of both Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Familiarity with network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, and LDAP (Active Directory).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work independently.
