Senior Cloud Engineer (Python) / Architect

Python
Requirements:
  • 5+ years’ experience of professional so2ware engineering
  • Confidence in leading engineering discussions and decision making
  • Experience developing in Python
  • Experience working with Postgresql or similar database technologies
  • Experience working with Terraform or other “Infrastructure as Code” tools
  • Experience deploying so2ware to managed cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure etc
  • Experience working with or a desire to learn Rust
  • A 2:1 degree or higher in Computer Science, mathematics, Science or Engineering

Desirable to have:
  • Experience working in Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of/Interest in Quantum computing
  • Knowledge of common distributed system architectures
  • Experience developing in Typescript

  • A Cambridge-based quantum software team is seeking to hire an accomplished Senior Software Engineer for our cloud platform.
  • In this role, you will develop and deliver the cloud infrastructure and application services for our quantum computing platform.
  • You will work closely with our research and software teams to continuously improve the platform's usability and reliability.
  • Their team aims to make using quantum computing resources as simple as sending an email.
  • The ideal candidate for this role will be experienced in taking user needs from concept to implementation and be confident in making technical decisions as part of a team.
